Pedro Mandinga is Panama’s first artisanal rum distillery and is well worth visiting. Located in the heart of Casco Viejo near Plaza Herrera, it offers a lively wood paneled tasting room with walls that open to the street outside. It offers fun seating from tables to couches, and a list of cocktails that are fantastic, all made with their rum. They offer a fantastic $5 cocktail menu during happy hour from opening until 7pm. Don’t miss trying the El Canal Buck. It’s also a great place to pick up a bottle of their rum to bring back home with you.
