Viktualienmarkt

This lovely market dates from 1807 when the town’s market outgrew Marienplatz and moved to the square between Heiliggeist-Kirche and Frauenstrasse. Offering many stalls of fruits, vegetables, cheeses, olives, chacurterie, mushrooms, etc, many of the stalls have been run by the same family for generations. The market even has a beer garden where you can enjoy a drink or lunch. Look for the Maypole in the center.
