This is the central shopping square in San Francisco and offers a great plaza for people watching and a coffee in the summer and an ice skating rink in the winter. A giant pillar hosting the Goddess of Victory stands bare-breasted over the square. Chinatown and the theater district are a quick walk away, and cable cars leave from the nearby Powell Street Bart station.
