Located close to downtown Wailea, Monkeypod, located next to one of the trees it's named after, is a fun restaurant located a short drive from the beach, offering local Hawaiian dishes, fresh fish, wood-fired pizzas, and island-inspired cocktails served in some extra fun glasses.
Croatia
We found this restaurant to have incredible seafood. Located virtually right on the beach in Vlaka (Palmizana Island) it was very convenient. While they offer lovely patio seating, we sat inside due to rain. Most of our group shared a large fish baked in salt served with potatoes and vegetables that was insanely good.
Slovenia
This was recommended to us as a restaurant that stays open year round, not just for tourist season as many in Rovinj do, and is beloved by locals. We took this to mean decent local food. It was so good we ate there two nights in a row.
