La Sagrada Familia

The Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's most famous architectural accomplishment, is truly awe inspiring. If you see one thing in Barcelona it should be this.

Santa Maria dell’Ammiraglio

This Norman-era church in Palermo doesn't look like much from the outside—it was founded in 1143, but a rather uninspiring baroque facade was added in 1588. However, the interior is worth a visit. The highlight is the remarkably well-preserved original mosaics, likely created by Greek artists from Constantinople.

Cathedral of Barcelona

No, this is not Barcelona's most famous cathedral - that honor goes to Sagrada Familia - but this is Barcelona's huge Gothic cathedral from the 14th century (minus the 19th century facade) which played a significant part in the history of the city.

Cattedrale di Palermo

Palermo's massive cathedral is worth stopping by if you're in the area, but it pales in comparison to the intimate beauty of Capella Palantina or the grandeur of Monreale Cathedral.

Ninh Binh Tour

A fantastic day trip from Hanoi that mixes natural beauty with history and culture. You'll see Hoa Lu ( Cố đô Hoa Lư), Vietnam's beautiful historic capital, cruise the rivers near Tam Coc, and see Bich Dong Pagoda.

Wat Arun

Much smaller than either Wat Pho or the Grand Palace, Wat Arun is nonetheless one of Bangkok’s most iconic sights. It’s the only wat in Bangkok that tourists are allowed to climb.

Wat Pho

Wat Pho is a large temple complex with numerous religious buildings, hundreds of Buddhas, and a massage school. Be sure to see the reclining Buddha and to get a reasonably priced massage.

Grand Palace Bangkok

Bangkok’s most popular site houses several temples and religious buildings as well as the palace and a few government buildings. Every structure on the palace grounds is ornately decorated and stunningly beautiful. The religious buildings on the raised terrace to your left as you enter were particularly beautiful.

Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon

Established by French colonists, the Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon was built between 1863 and 1860. The materials were imported from France, and the cathedral features beautiful Romanesque bell towers.
