Croatia
There are a few bars perched outside the walls on a cliff directly against the Adratic. It's just cool, there's no other way to describe it. Follow the "Cold Drinks" sign from the square of Rudjera Boškovića and literally climb through a hole in the wall (Buza = "hole in the wall") to this bar offering a shaded area with small chairs and tables.
Vietnam
Small cafe in Hanoi's Old Quarter offering full pours of decent beer for under a dollar. It's an experience to sit near the bustling, narrow streets of the Old Quarter while sipping a refreshing cold beer. We didn't eat here, but reviews indicate the food is pretty good, too.
Vietnam
A warren of narrow, congested streets, the old quarter is fascinating its own way. The streets are two-way, but narrow enough that I would consider most of them single-lane roads. There are sidewalks, but the shops tend to spill out onto them, and people park their scooters on the sidewalk. There are numerous cafes, many of which offer famously cheap beer, and Hanoi's renowned silk district is nearby as well.

Denmark
Surprisingly good food in the heart of Tivoli Gardens. Also offers a good selection of beers.
Estonia
A gastropub in old town Tallinn with a welcoming vibe and great beer flights. Clayhills offers live music every Friday and Saturday nights, which can be a lot of fun. The singer we saw was amazing.

A neat spot with a relaxed vibe offering local brews.…
Iceland | West Iceland
Steðji is a neat brewery in an old western Iceland farmhouse. It's a working brewery so expect long wooden tables in and a dark, stark environment with great music overhead from the owner's iPhone. It features some unique and truly odd beers.

You might be surprised when you walk into this two-story restaurant that looks more like a bar on its lower floor. However, it has a wonderful dining area that offers superb food.
