This charming, unpretentous restaurant is well worth a detour to visit if you are in Istria visiting the hill towns. Located a 5 minute gravel drive from Livade, it’s a serious deal if you love truffles. The truffle pasta was out-of-this world good. Non-truffle items included home-made noodles or gnocchi with goulash, and other pasta dishes. The charming waitress served us family style with bowls of mixed salad for the table and large bowls of pasta to share. The restaurant provided a dessert, as well as a small glass of honey schnapp, for all of us gratis. The wine was also local and great. The whole truffle meal experience came to about 16 euros/person–and as some of the best truffle pasta I’ve ever had, it was a fantastic deal.
