This beautiful hotel is located on the Port Ludlow Marina. It’s comfy and cozy (most rooms have working fireplaces and beautiful bathrooms), though the interior is a little dated. If it’s in your budget, we highly recommend booking a room with a balcony and marina view; we spent both nights of our stay sitting on our balcony and watching the sun set over the marina and the distant mountains. The restaurant at the resort, The Fireside, is also excellent. Note that the hotel does charge a resort fee, so make sure to factor that into your expenses when you book.
Unfortunately, the resort isn’t conveniently located; the closest attractions are the town of Port Townsend (about half an hour away) and Olympic National Park (1 hour plus). However, there are some local activities available, including kayaks and stand-up paddle boards for rent, hiking and biking trails, and a golf course.
