Finland has, at times, been part of both Sweden and Russia, and that history has left its mark. The northern parts of the country have rolling tundra and outdoor activities. The capital, Helsinki, has a beautiful park and gorgeous cathedrals.
Our tour of Scandinavia will take you to Helsinki, Finland’s capital. Stroll the Esplanadi and visit the cathedrals. Be sure to take the ferry out to Suomenlinna and explore the beautiful fortress. If you have time to visit Lapland as well, you can explore the tundra and arctic; it’s a great opportunity to hunt the northern lights.
