Built around 1786, the Wadsworth-Longfellow House was the home of one of New England’s most prominent families. The poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow grew up here. Today, it houses a museum containing numerous original items and artifacts, as well as the Maine Historical society. Also be sure to check out the charming Longfellow Garden behind the house.

The house is currently closed due to COVID-19. However, you may still visit the grounds and garden.
