This is the large square in the center of London around the area formally known as Charing Cross. In the center you’ll find a high column with the statue of Admiral Nelson which commemorates the victory at the Battle of Trafalgar. There will almost certainly be someone rallying or protesting if you are there on a weekend. It faces the National Gallery.
