This is an amazing museum. You could spend several lifetimes here ingesting all of the history. When Britain ruled a quarter of the world, some of the best artifacts from Egypt, Assyria, and Greece were carted up and transported to London for display. Rosetta Stone? Check. Friezes from the Parthenon? Check. Entire Assyrian throne room? Check. The museum is free (with suggested donation). Allow 2 hours or more and consider eating at the cafe here.
