Museum covering the human and natural history of Svalbard. There are exhibits on the explorers who discovered the region, Svalbard’s economic history (which is actually pretty interesting), and the nature and wildlife in the area. It’s small and you won’t need to spend a lot of time here, but it’s worth a visit. If you’re interested in the history of exploration, you should also stop by the North Pole Expedition Museum across the street.
Hours: Daily, February-September 10-5; Daily, October-January 12-5.
Admission: Adults: 90kr, Children 7-18: 15kr.
