Picasso Museum

This museum is small, so don’t expect it to take more than about 45 minutes to explore, but it has some great Picasso pieces from his time spent in Barcelona at the beginning of his careers (from age 14-23). If you love Picasso, this is probably a can’t-miss. It’s mostly comprised of his earlier works which are extremely realistic (ie not your typical Picasso), but you can also see how his paintings evolved into his famous style over time. There’s an entire room of 40 interpretations of Velazquez’s famous Las Meninas, however, our favorite room included a lot of paintings of pigeons…who knew he was so into them for a while? Per most things in Barcelona, it’s usually best to buy tickets ahead.
