Park Guell

The city’s park, designed in part by Gaudi, offers some of the most whimsical Gaudi architecture found in the city. It hosts two small Gaudi houses (one where he lived for a time, not worth the entry line as the inside is sparse and the best part is the exterior) as well as colorful tile work of figures, columns, and a wavy bench giving a fantastic view of the city, especially at sunset. The rest of the park is free, but the real reason to go is to see the Monumental Zone (ie Gaudi part). If you have extra time, meander the rest of the park for a quiet break from the city. The best way to get to the park is via cab or bus (#24 or #92).
