Built by Frederick the Great to demonstrate Prussia’s power and wealth, the New Palace is lavish and impressive, though it lacks the homey comfort of Sanssouci. It’s located in the same palace park as Sanssouci, and is certainly worth a visit during your time in Potsdam.
