How could a country as apparently cultured, civilized, and advanced have produced the Nazis and the Holocaust? This museum does its best to provide an answer. Housed in the enormous Congress Hall built for Nazi rallies and meetings, it traces the rise of the Nazi propaganda movement and how the Nazi party engineered taking over the levers of power. It’s a fascinating place. It’s a one way walk through – the English audioguide is a must. Be sure and see the Nurnberg trials courtroom. Come away with new respect for the ability of a small group of evil men to hijack an entire country and destroy the lives of millions of people. Be prepared to take your time here, it’s a huge amount of information.
