Maha’ulepu : A series of beaches along a wild undeveloped coastline in the Poipu region. There are 3 separate areas known is Gillen’s beach, Kawailoa Beach , and Ha’ula beach. This is a great area for exploring and beach walking and walking along the clips. Sometimes the water can be choppy here so be aware.
Shipwright Beach is the name of the beach that is in front of the Hyatt Regency. Be aware that high seas could make it dangerous to swim here however. There are trails between here and Maha’ulepu beaches.
Brennecke speech is the body surfing Beach of the area and has been quite good in past years. Sometimes the beach can be damaged with storms and hurricanes but in general is a reliable place to body surf.
Poipu Beach Park is a nice safe place to swim. There is also a nice snorkeling nearby.
Kiahuna Beach fronts the Sheraton Hotel and is often safe for swimming as an offshore reef protects it.
