A merchant’s home dating to 1704 houses this interesting museum. The exhibits depict how people lived and worked in this part of the world over the centuries and trace the economic history that shaped Bergen and the Hanseatic League, a confederation of guilds and merchants that dominated the economy of northern Europe from the fourteenth to seventeenth centuries.
