Built by King Håkon Håkonsson between 1247 and 1267, Håkon’s Hall served as a royal residence and feasting hall. The hall is impressive, but as an historical site it leaves something to be desired. There no exhibits or explanations except for a small brochure, so you may want to opt for the guided tour of the hall and nearby Rosenkrantz Tower (Rosenkrantztårnet) if you visit during the summer months.
