Perhaps our favorite science museum anywhere, the exploratorium focuses on “hands on” interactive activities. Located right on the wharf in San Francisco in a 9-acre glass walled building, it’s easy to spend hours here. Frank Oppenheimer (physiscit of the A-bomb) created the Exploratorium in 1969. Since then, it moved in 2013 to this new site at Pier 15.
