A 17th-century baroque church in the Christianshavn area of Copenhagen. Its primary feature is the 300-foot spire, which you can pay to climb. It’s 400 steps to the top, the last 150 of which are on the exterior of the spire. We think the price and the effort are worth it for the incredible views of the city.
Hours: The church is open daily 10-3:30. The tower is typically open 10-4 in the spring and fall and 9:30-7 in the summer. It’s closed for the winter between December 16 and February 22.
Admission: Entering the church is free. To climb the tower, it’s 50 DKK from May to September and 35 DKK October to April.
