Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s Old Town dating from the 13th century. Meander through the pedestrian only cobblestone streets, get lost in a labyrinth of alleyways, enjoy the architecture from the 1700-1800s, and take in the colorful squares. Make sure to see Stortorget, the main square hosting the baroque Royal Palace and Royal Chapel (and if you can catch a changing of the guards) Västerlånggatan and Österlånggatan are the main streets, but follow any turn you want for a great experience.
