This is Key West’s prettiest and largest beach which runs along the southern shore of Key West for nearly 2 miles. The sand is brought in from the Bahamas, making it soft and fine. The water is calm and perfect for a swim or dip. The beach is clean, peaceful, and relaxing, and you can score shade fairly easily. You won’t see much snorkeling here. You can rent kayaks, paddle boards, jet skis etc. There are vending trucks which offer snacks and there are public restrooms and showers available. Of note, this can get overrun during spring break so avoid at that time. It’s also close to the airport, so if plane noise bothers you, this may not be your beach.
