The biggest market of the week is on Wednesday mornings and all day Saturday. Sarlat has hosted a huge market since the Middle Ages and still does. It’s a wonderful experience where you can peruse local goods including foie gras, sausage, duck, all things walnut (including liquor) and local wine and beer. Pick up a great array of veggies and meat for dinner, or quick picnic things for lunch. You can also look through some art stalls offering fun souvenirs.
