This is one amazing adventure. You begin this trek by walking through beech forest then make your way above the tree line with spectacular views all around. Arrivr at a three star hotel (they call it a “lodge”), where you are greeted with a drink and shown to your room with en suite shower. Stumble down to get a glass of wine or beer before the fantastic dinner supplied by the lodge. Repeat the next day.

If you are physically up for it, this is a not-to-be-missed activity. It’s not cheap, but well worth every penny. This hike is fully guided the entire way and you do walk with a group although you can go at your own pace so it’s not a negative. Beware: the trail is sometimes quite steep and rocky – we suggest being in shape  and bringing (or renting) trekking poles.
