The only way to get to Lake Bled Castle in the middle of Lake Bled is to take a boat. The best option is to take the traditional wooden flat-bottomed Pletna boats, made by locals and only found on Bled. The origins of the boat date back to 1590 and each boat seats up to 20 people. Operated by Pletna oarsman, find the boats under the Park Hotel Bled, in Mlino, and in the Rowing Center Bled. This is a much pleasanter experience than renting your own boat and rowing it yourself.
