Molokini is a small island visible from west Maui. It has incredibly clear waters and thus is a destination for MANY snorkel trips. There are dozens of boats that can take you out there and we can’t really recommend one over the others, but grab the latest copy of Maui Revealed and make a selection based on departure location, size of boat, amenities, etc.
Tips
- Go in the morning – it is MUCH more likely to be calm and better snorkeling
- You will be with LOTS of other snorkelers
- The water is incredibly clear but you might see more fish and coral at other sites
