Created in 1978, Misty Fjords National Monument is a gorgeous maze of rugged inlets. It can only be reached by air or sea. Unless you have time to spend a night in the wilderness, the best way to see it is by a flightseeing trip from Ketchikan. We highly recommend Island Wings, founded by local pilot Michelle Masden in 1993. You’ll get incredible views of the fjords, and even land on one of them to experience this incredible place.
