This is long all day bus trip into the heart of the park. In Denali there are two ways to get in – there are shuttle busses between the various stops with no narration or nature spotting or this excursion where the goal is to see the park and wildlife. The bus is just a school bus, the provided “lunch” is junk food snacks (bring your own), and it’s a 7+ hour ride. There are several stops along the way to take a break from the ride and the driver will stop for wildlife. Denali National Park was established to preserve the wildlife (the mountain was added much later), and this trip did not disappoint – expect to see moose, mountain sheep, caribou, and grizzlies.
