This wine producer offers a nice indoor tasting room and pours both white and red varietals from grapes grown in the nearby hills. The cellar itself is located in the former church of a Dominican monastery from 1457. They’ll give you a choice of sweet or not-sweet once you pick if you want to try red or white. They produce AOP Collioure (white, rose, and red – the non-sweet option) and AOP Banyuls (white, gold, and red – the sweet option, desert wine local to the area). The tasting itself is free or you can opt for a cellar tour. The wine was quite good and very reasonably priced (we took a few bottles home). The hike to the Stone Windmill and Fort St. Elme leaves from basically the tasting room, so this might be a good option on your way back or up.
