Touring these islands around Hvar is a MUST. It was an amazing, fun experience complete with one of the best meals we have ever had. Allot an entire day to fully enjoy it. There are many islands, but try and stop by Jerolim, an interesting island with olive trees, woods, artwork, hammocks, and nude beaches (you can skip the latter). It has a nice beach to enjoy. Then make your way to Palmizana with its nice swim spots, hidden coves, vineyards, the remains of a Roman spa. Grab lunch in Vlaka (a settlement on one side of the island) at Konoba Dionis and drinks at the very cool Laganini Lounge Bar and Fish House. Enjoy a hike to other side of the island.
So in all honesty we chartered a boat with a 20-something year old guy named Eddie recommended to us by our lodging who drove us around the islands all day. It’s been a few years since we were in Hvar (and this was well before we thought about this site) and I have no idea how to find Eddie or if he still has a boat-gig going. That said, there are many locals and companies offering boat cruises. Take a look at Hvar Boats or even better ask your hotel or the owner of the AirBNB we suggested for a recommendation–it will likely save you money and they plan the route without you having to think about it.
