This famous tram takes you to viewpoint where you can see Kegon Waterfalls with an incredible view of Lake Chūzenji in the background. It’s best to go early in the morning, when the waterfalls and lake will be illuminated by the early sun. Note that the ropeway is only accessible by a one-way road that winds up from the Daiya River. Traffic can be interminable, especially on beautiful days, and parking is limited. So we recommend arriving very early. An alternative is to go late in the day, near closing time. That will help avoid the crowds and traffic, but the scene will probably be backlit.
